Over the years, its been noticed that lot of foreign companies are venturing in Indian market which is why the present market is flooded with jobs for youngsters especially BPO jobs. Any BPO which is contracted outside a company’s country is well known as offshore outsourcing and the and BPO which is contracted to a company’s neighbouring country is called as nearshore outsourcing.
BPO stands for Business Process Outsourcing which involves the contracting of the significant responsibilities and the operations of specific business functions or processes with the third-party service provider. In short, BPO jobs is normally categorized into back office outsourcing which encompasses internal business functions like:
- Human resources
- Finance and accounting
- Front office outsourcing (customer-related services such as contact center services)
No matter at whatever rate other nations grow, one must say the BPO industry is expected to continue to flourish in India. Among the hot spots in country for BPO are Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai and New Delhi. There are various advantages of BPO jobs where in these help to increase a company’s flexibility. Outsourcing work in form of call centre jobs, customer service jobs, voice based operations and others may provide a firm with increased flexibility in its resource management. Since, such jobs cater to foreign clients. these have shift jobs, night jobs, data processing jobs and other related ones. Its strikingly noticed that more and more youngsters are joining the workforce in BPOs because its among the only industries were young breed aging between 18 to 25 is seriously taken into consideration. In addition to it, the candidates are offered with enough incentives and perks which add to the advantages of these jobs.
There are two forms of BPO jobs namely national and international which cater to both Indian and foreign clients respectively. Both the call centers meet the needs and demands of the clients in best form. Talking of international call centers in particular, people learn American and UK accent which helps them a lot in modifying a good personality. Off late, BPO is also referred to as ITES which is Information Technology Enabled Services as most business processes involve some form of automation where IT enabled services are to be performed.

Finding A Job In The Fitness Industry

Step 1. Identify what segment of the industry you want to work in. This should be based on your passion, education, certifications and experiences. Your choices are numerous:
- Commercial Health Clubs or Non-Profit (YMCA/Jewish Community Centers, Boys and Girls Clubs, etc)
- Community Recreation Centers or Park and Recreation Departments
- University Fitness Complexes
- Medical Fitness (Health clubs attached or designed in conjunction with a local or regional healthcare system)
- Smaller, Privately Owned Niche Studios. (Personal training/Pilates/Yoga)
- Resorts and Spa Fitness
- Master Planned Residential Communities
- Military Fitness Centers
- Corporate Fitness Centers
- Own your own studio, franchise, or develop an in-home training business.
Step 2. Determine where you want to live. There’s no sense job hunting in Hartford if you want to be live in Denver. You’ll be spinning your wheels because employers want to speak to local candidates. There are several national companies that will speak to candidates from all over, but this strategy limits your choices.
Step 3. Know your economic barometer. You need to know EXACTLY what you need to earn to meet your financial obligations. Housing, auto, insurance, loans, credit cards, food, apparel, miscellaneous, etc. You can¡¦t negotiate salary, benefits, etc. if you don¡¦t know your personal financial situation. Part of your strategy may be to maintain a current job (wait staff, bartender job or other) while you ramp-up your new career. However, holding down 2 jobs can be a double edge sword. If you are serious about your new career in fitness, do not allow your secondary job to negatively impact it. Don¡¦t work in a restaurant until 2 a.m., and think you will be able to do a fitness evaluation at 6:30 a.m.
Step 4. Create a professional resume, cover letter and reference list. You can find numerous free templates on Microsoft Word. The Internet is a great resource for career development. Put your best foot forward, as your resume is your calling card. Create a resume that is more traditional than over the top.
Make sure that you personalize your cover letters and address exactly what your skills are, matched with what a company is looking for. When applying for a job found on the Internet, such as Monster.com or FitnessJobs.com, always send a cover note, and follow the exact reply mechanism the employer is requesting. If the employer requests a cover letter plus resume, don’t just e-mail your resume as an attachment!
Also, be sure you have clean copies and originals of all your degrees and certifications for your job interview. Make sure they are all up to date!
Step 5. Determine a radius of where you want to work. In the fitness industry you may be working flexible schedules. Being 20 minutes from home fits very nicely into this type of work schedule. You will be able to spend more quality time at work and home without a strenuous commute. Once you determine your radius, create a database in an Excel document of all your prospective employers. Once again, the Internet is a great resource for this as well as the local phone book.
Step 6. Network. Is there anyone you know that work for any of your prospective employers? Having someone open the door for you is one of the main avenues where people secure jobs.
Step 7. Send a cover letter and resume to your prospective employers. Write the date of contact on your Excel tracking sheet. Follow up with a call to the appropriate supervisor within 7 days. You will want to call the business and ask who is the hiring manager for the position you are trying to secure. You should visit their web site to view any career opportunities and follow their online application process.
Also, visit the location and get a feel for their business. Is it a friendly place? Is the staff well informed? Is the business well maintained and clean? Are the customers having fun and appear to be well taken care of? Can you see yourself working there?
If your answer to these questions is no, it’s probably not a good choice for you. If you were further along in your career as a supervisor or manager, this may be a lead for a job, as the existing leadership in this particular club isn’t doing so well.
Step 8. Prepare for the interview. Your efforts will eventually reward you with an interview. First, make sure you do research on the business through their web site and Internet. Ask your network of friends and family for additional information. Do not go to an interview unprepared. It shows lack of initiative, preparation, and interest of an employer who otherwise may have hired you.
Dress appropriately. You may run into the supervisor or manager. Be prepared. Introduce yourself and tell him/her what you are doing there. If you have a formal interview, depending on the region of the country you reside you may choose to wear business attire, or business casual.
Bring a small portfolio with your resumes (3 copies), references and certifications. Also, have a list of questions. You will probably be asked if you have any questions. It is not appropriate to bring up compensation unless they bring up the subject first. If they ask if you have any questions to ask, be prepared. It shows you are prepared, interested and intelligent.
Step 9. The interview. The interview should be serious and business like, but be yourself. Remember this when you begin your career: You will have fun at work, but it is a business that your employers take very seriously. You should too.
When you prepare for an interview anticipate questions you may be asked in an interview and then write out your answers. You want your responses to be concise. You shouldn’t take longer than 2 minutes to respond. Anything longer may take you off track from the question asked.
The library, Internet and bookstore, all offer extensive information on interviewing skills, including questions that both you and the interviewer may ask.
Step 10. Evaluate the interview and follow up after the interview. Send a personalized, handwritten thank you note to the person(s) who interviewed you. Remind the interviewer why hiring you would be a great fit for their business. You may not decide to take the position, but it is good business acumen to thank them for their time.
If you were offered a position, do you have enough information to make a decision? Have you seen a job description? Employee manual? Is there a compensation plan with benefits in writing? If not, ask to see them. Remind the hiring manager that you are very interested in the opportunity; however, you would like to see the information, and be able to make the right decision.
If employers don’t have anything in writing, it is a red flag. It’s important to work for a professional, well run company. Avoid working for companies that are not organized administratively.
Step 11. Accepting the position. If you believe there is a good fit and want to accept the position, make sure your economic barometer is set.
Don’t get caught up in being offered a job, and not being paid what you need or deserve.
Other than compensation, important considerations before you accept your position include:
“” Is the ownership committed to the business?
“” Do they appear to be on sound financial footing?
“” Does your supervisor seem to be someone who will be a good mentor for you and your personality?
“” Is the position something you can see yourself doing? Will you be passionate about your job?
“” Do they have a training program for new employees?
“” Is there growth potential?
“” If you are expected to generate revenues, are there realistic expectations? Are you on a 90 day produce or out lifespan? (If the answer is yes, don’t even entertain the thought of working for them. Move on.)
Be sure you advise your future employer of any upcoming family or personal obligations you are already committed to.
Remember this: There will never be a better time to negotiate for a better compensation plan than now. They want you and there is room to negotiate.
Be professional and realistic. You should have a sense of what comparable positions in the industry are paying. The more financial security you have the better you will be able to weather the storm and find the perfect job.

There are many different legitimate data entry jobs that can be found on the internet. Many will not surprise you but some just might! Here are three interesting ideas that may be of some use. While the ideas are not new, a lot of people don’t know about them. They are reservationist, call center, customer service and virtual assistant.
Reservationist
Being a reservationist is one fun legitimate data entry jobs that have the potential to explode in the coming years. There are now many places, such as hotels that have their switchboard off site. Some airlines are also using off site employees to help them with their reservations process. For you to become one, you would need to apply to these types of sites. Many are listed on sites that list these types of opportunities. This is a fun way to make a living and you will be inputting customer information into a data base and helping to make reservations to your client.
Call Center
When you are looking at data entry, why not look at call centers? This is another one of many legitimate data entry jobs that are available for you to explore. Many companies are now hiring people to answer their phones instead of having the traditional call center. You would need to have software and a telephone line in order to work at this type of job. With the economy being as bad as it has been, being a call center employee is not a bad way to go. It requires patience and a cool head sometimes. A background in customer service may be helpful, but is not required. A sense of professionalism is a must for this job!
Customer Service
This is one thing that will not ever go out of style. Many companies that are offering legitimate data entry jobs are looking for them in the area of customer service. This is one area that a lot of people enjoy working with and the opportunities are bountiful. Most will train you as to how you are to do this. If you have ever dialed a 1 800 number on the TV, chances are you have talked to someone trained in this field. Most of these agents do work from home, so it can be done from home easily with the correct training and software programs on your computer. These can be had at little or no cost to you. All you need is a headset, computer and internet connection.
Virtual Assistant
This is another one of the most legitimate data entry jobs around! Being a virtual assistant or VA is something that provides a lot of enjoyment and pleasure. Being a VA requires that you have some sort of secretarial or life experience training. You can be trained in sessions over the internet, and you are basically being an assistant to someone, which has more rights and responsibilities than being a secretary. It is fast paced, and fun if you are able to multitask.

Lucy is a fresh software engineering graduate. Like her batch mates, she too is scouring the Internet, college employment notice boards and the local newspapers for a job. She has not yet landed a job, but is hopeful of landing one soon. Her brother Mark is envious of her. He had passed out in 2001, when the software industry was reeling under the effect of the burst of the dotcom bubble. Luckily, for Lucy, the job market is much better now than what it was in 2001. Her friend, a liberal arts graduate is also hopeful of landing up a decent job. The reason is that the current job market is more vibrant and is offering a variety of jobs requiring different skill sets.
Today the job market requires people who are multi-talented and multi-skilled. Technology has played a big role in inventing such a need. Take the case of tax professionals. One of their basic jobs was to help the salaried class to fill out the details of their income tax return. With the availability of various user friendly tax calculating software, an increased number of people can now fill in their details without the need to consult a tax professional. This has seriously undermined the traditional role played by a tax consultant. The focus has now shifted to professionals who can deliver tax planning and advisory services according to individual needs.
A person aspiring to get a job in today’s market also has to be aware of different cultures and practices followed in various countries. The advent of the net has shrunk the entire world into a global village. A customer sitting in India can bag projects from clients in USA. In such a case it will be necessary for the Indian company to understand the needs and expectations of the American customer and deliver the projects accordingly. An Indian firm specializing in content writing has to use ‘color’ instead of ‘colour’ while delivering a project to a US client. Thus jobs nowadays require that a person should be well read and keep good knowledge of his immediate surroundings and also the world around him.
The advent of the Internet has also seen a large number of jobs being off shored to countries like India, South Africa etc. This also changes the work culture in these countries. Take the example of a call center; most of the call centers service American clients. The time difference between USA and India is about nine hours. In such a case, the Indian center will receive maximum calls after it is midnight in India. As a result the call centers have brought the culture of working in night shifts that was hitherto reserved to industries like manufacturing etc.
Another noticeable change taking place in the job market is that most of the jobs created are in the service sector. The United States Department of Labor for instance reported that education and health services added around 60,000 jobs in August and the finance and related sector created 26,000 jobs in US alone. This trend can be observed round the globe. As per a report that appeared in the Associated Press, service sector makes up for two-third of the US economy. Even in a developing country like India, the service sector has been the star performer. This is perhaps also a reason as to why the number of employees engaged in the service sector has shown a steady increase in the past decade. For e.g. as per ILO, the number of people employed in the service sector in the world has increased from 34.5% in 1995 to 38.9% in 2005. This is against the employment level in the industry sector that has remained stagnant at 21% between the periods from 1995-2005. The interesting fact to be noted is that females constitute 45% of the workforce in the service sector, which is higher than other sectors such as industry and agriculture.
Another noticeable change has been the increased participation of adult females in the workforce. For e.g. the share of employed adult males has seen a decline of 1.3% in the decade between 1995-2005. On the other hand, the share of females has increased from 51.7% in 1995 to 52.2% in 2005. It has also been noticed that the service sector has seen the largest share of working women. Females constitute 45% of the workforce in service sector.
Mergers and acquisitions are becoming the order of the day. Whether it is the bitter acquisition of Arcelor by the Mittal group or the Citigroup’s US$2.7 billiontakeover of KorAm bank in South Korea; the fact is that most of the mergers leads to job cuts. A report by outplacement firm Challenger, Gray and Christmas states that most of the tech job cuts can be attributed to mergers and acquisitions. The report puts the number of job loss due to mergers and acquisitions at 24,821 in 2006.
For e.g. according to World Economic Forum, UK labor force will start to shrink in 2010, declining further during the 2020s and only easing in the 2030s.
On the other hand, the World Economic Forum states that In India, on the other hand, the number of working-age people will increase by 335 million by 2030 – almost as much as the total working-age population of the EU and the United States combined in 2000.
The above-mentioned fact makes one thing clear: Expect a lot of migration and major upheaval in the job market in the years to come.
The job market is thus becoming more and more unpredictable. One has to possess many skills and be efficient in this age of cutthroat competition. Also, the skill set has to be continuously upgraded and updated to survive the onslaught of job cuts.

Any Online Jobs That Are Not Scams?
Are there any online jobs that are not scam? I am a stay at home mom and would like to make extra money in need being scamed? Everytime I post a financial question adjectives I get is advertisments from scammers not really looking to answer my question. As a concern of fact, I will probably get those type of responces surrounded by this question.

Any Job recommendation for a young at heart young person?
I just quit my job (worked at dog kennel) because it be way too stressful. Now I’m looking for a job near flexible hours and is willing to hire someone under 18 (I’m 17). I be thinking some place like a Subway or Taco Del Mar, but I’m open to anything. So if anyone have any recommendations or knows of any job that’ll hire a kid my age, please let me know!

About employement agencies?

where can i start looking. ive asked around and no luck. internet doesnt seem to minister to. im looking for theatre and or clerical work. preferably clerical work is at a computer. whre can i find help near this, my school isnt doing anything for me
18 Year frail manly wanting to step into Fashion?
I am a 18 year old male who is wanting to apply for an Executive Assistant position within a fashion company (not any company in particular) I do not own a college degree however I have worked at the State House of Representatives as an Intern/Executive Assistant for two years. Do you deduce that my age and my lack of a college degree will be bad set by my experience or am I just being unrealistic? 2 Days of Training?
I got a job within a field I’m not too familiar beside. The woman whose position I will be taking is leaving in 2 days. Can you pass me some pointers of important questions I should ask her and probably take notes something like? She is leaving and I may not be able to contact her, I don’t want to be LOST when she is gone for honourable. Hi everyone, I know I’m asking alot of the same kind of question but I was just looking for an answer to a grill I have and I can’t find it. I have to tender my 2 weeks notice on Monday. I don’t think my boss is going to be contained by then. If she doesn’t come in, in attendance is noone else in charge (she owns the company and there are solely 5 of us total) should I just leave the epistle on her desk and date it for Monday and let her see it on Fri. morning? Should I call her and transmit her? Or, should I give it to another employee who is “supposedly” within charge when shes not there, this girl is just another analyst but is mainly in charge of the patients. I only just don’t want her coming back in on Fri. (she’s going out of town Tues-Thurs.)saying that I really didn’t hand over her two weeks notice when I really did, she just wasn’t nearby to get it. I have went on several interviews for Office proprietor and Exec Asst. jobs but once they realize and see how “young” I am, they immediately disqualify me for employment. 2nd Job Interview Preparation & Negotiation Strategy?
I have a 2nd interview next week near the RVP (the person who I will be supporting along with his team) and want to know how to best prepare for it. The 1st interview be with the HR Mgr and a person surrounded by a similar position. The interview was skill orientated and situational questions. I am thinking #2 is mostly a sense of self match at this point&to see if RVP thinks I can do the brief. I have reviewed their benefits on the web&from them. I don’t know the salary of this position or the vac pkg. I submitted my job application by fax shortly before the actual interview and down my salary requirements on it. This position is non-exempt &between myself&1 other candidate. Question: Is it possible to negotiate salary&time off? I am leaving a job of 7yrs and will be loosing 3wks vac. I own a trip planned for Sept 07(5 days)&a yrly trip back home of 7 days that I would like to transport. Does anyone have suggestions or experience with this? This is foreign to me, as I haven’t interviewed much.

Okay there is this lady who have called me twice already. A few weeks ago I showed up 45 min. slowly to work and be sent home for 2 days, and my supervisor threatened ?
the other staff that if they were to show up late next they would get sent home for two days as well. Another organization staff came 1 hour and 5 min. late and she be not sent home, just given a warning. A few days after, that same member of staff showed up 3 min. late and was not sent home or even spoke to something like this. Today, I showed up 4 min. late and my supervisor told me that I am being sent home and because I have put my two weeks notice in and my later day is on Monday that it is my choice if I want to come back. Its a temp job.. Back when i got it they told me it be a scanning project. Ok fine. i’m ok carrying a few boxes and stuff but i came to find out the boss wishes us sometimes to do lifting all day AND driving rear and forth from a house owned by the company which is about 7 miles away. I work for a Doctor who works at venues all over England. Its celebrated that he liases with his staff, ie. me, but when he phones to discuss important matter to do with work, he takes such a long time discussion on the phone, sometimes about important things and sometimes in the order of less important things. I own strict deadlines and have LOTS of work to do within the hours i have; because of his (very) frequent calls, I hold to rush my work which makes it harder. I work shifts with another character, but apparently he doesnt call her that much…possibly because he believes that i am more reliable. This means that she is under pressure less, and i have more work to do contained by less time. How can I tell him to lately talk to me about historic stuff and not irrelevant or less important stuff, and how can i provoke him to phone less frequently, but phone once with ALL information!? He is the crucial boss, and he gets insulted very confidently. What can i do?

I am going to be starting a career as of August 6, 2007 and I will be doing a lot of notes entry. I have never had such a position previously, and I am currently using my keyboard alot more now, and so I would similar to to know, how often do secretary’s get a manicure done, especially where on earth you use the keyboard so much, and you tend to experience tightness in the center of the mitt from keyboarding so much. Job Opportunities in Call Centers for Bilingual Employees

More and more businesses rely on call centers to provide assistance to their customers. A global economy means that businesses are searching for customers not only in their own country, but worldwide. That outreach has also come with the need for specific services for customers in other countries.
Purpose of Call Centers
A call center is a centralized office that can receive and transmit a large number of telephone calls. A call center is usually hired by the business or manufacturer of a product or line of products to take care of the calls. The reasons for the calls range from product support and information requests. In addition, a call center makes outgoing calls to customers for the purposes of telemarketing, product services and debt collection.
A Changing Population
A business has to cater to all of its customers in a global economy. In addition, businesses are finding that the population in their own country is becoming quite diverse. For example, in 2008 the United States had a population of 304.1 million people. Approximated 15.4% or 46.9 million were Hispanic or Latino. Another 13.4 million people or 4.4% of the population were identified as Asian. As population change, so must business. Many businesses in the United have instructions in English and in Spanish on their products as recognition of the prevalence of the Hispanic community.
A Need for Bilingual Employees
The growing trend of call centers, when combined with the changing demographics, must be able to communicate to those customers who speak a language different from the primary language of the call center. Bilingual employees will become more critical to the success of the call centers. A customer who is German can telephone a call center that is English-speaking. Once he is identified as German-speaking, he can be transferred to a customer service representative who speaks German. This will impress the German customer and he may recommend this company to others who speak German. He will recount that he received prompt customer service in his native language. It is that word-of-mouth referrals that advertisements just can’t buy.
