OUTSOURCED – the best movie about call center
www.callcenterjobtips.com Really well written movie that pokes fun of both American and Indian cultures but with respect for each. Filmed partly in Seattle, but mostly in India. You see an American call center director has his section outsourced and he reluctantly travels to India to keep his job for a few weeks more till his stock options vest. He finds a culture he slowly comes to respect and embrace through an Indian woman he falls for and friendship with his coworker. The story plays out over many location shots in and near Mumbai. You almost feel you’ve been there by the end of the film. A great Indian cast really puts this one over the top with many laughs. Your next call with an Indian call center won’t be the same.

Keep giving american companies tax breaks for sending our jobs overseas and then you want to laugh about it…see you in the unemployment line
May be the movie is good but whatever theey have tried to show in this …is a complete bullshit…may be fucking americans love to shoot with cows as they are in real life thats why tried to drag some cows in indian call centre… but if any one really try to lift their ass and come to india to see the call centre then they will come to know that we provide water and tissue to wipe ur poo instead of wipe n poo by papers and smell own loss
Ths looks good, just reserved a copy at my local library
nice movie i like it
I just watched this movie a few hours ago… It’s very good.
SAY DVD many times and fast and you sound like a INDIAN
That woman’s ugly!
she reminds me so much of kristen kreuk from smallville and edgemont.
omg this movie is so hilarious! one of the most underrated comedies of 2006
That was quick! Well neither am I trying to put up an argument here and there is nothing to lose or win. Do think about any country as a just a country and forget about the sterotypes youve heard because most of them are made up of crap! Biased vies can be on an issue but a fact should not be biased.
When an edge develops over other countries this is what happens- a movie full of crap- nothing personal buddy jsut my view over somthing that has always pricked me- see ye soon
A cow wandering anywhere probably isn’t gonna have an entire book written on it. Yeah… everyone’s perspective on everyone is different. Biased does work. The only real reason I am defending this movie is probably because… compared to others we have seen… this one isn’t that bad with steriotypes. Seeing as your Indian, I really can’t argue with you about India and expect to win. But I will consider your points in this conversation from now on.
Then Please read Chetan Bhagats ” One Night at a Call Centre”- much more better and factual about India or the youth in India than this above crap!
There is a huge difference between lie and perspective. I did not say that the writers of the book lie but rather have put it down with a western perspective which is hugely biased. People who havent lived with other Indians- the real Indians will always talk about India in this stereotypical way. Again my problem is not with call centres represented it is with this things about cows straying into a working organisation? Please tell me the name of the book where this has been put down for fact?
My comment about the stolen electricity was not from this movie alone. Hollywood movie is gonna screw it up. We know this. But I know that people who can’t afford it steal it. India isn’t the only country that has a problem like that I know. Humanity is humanity. “I need it, can’t pay for it, I take it.”
I first saw the stolen electricity issues in NEWS reports. News can be as fake as a Hollywood movie, but I do research too. Does every book in the world lie about India? Is it ALL a lie?
wow 14 comments, from 3 persons
777western is really passionate about this
Yeah ! I mean people should have an open mind and try to see things clearly. You would have noticed the stealing electricity thing in this movie which is crap and cows loitering into any builiding which has never ever happened. With the IT boom these organisations in India are state of the art structures
man i know how you feel me mysfelf i live in DR and all you can see in the USA news about my country is the really bad part of it and all of the weather disasters thats really fucked up!! but i have to say i would like to watch this movie since i worked at a call center here in the dominican republic!
Thanks for realising your mistake and removing the video-good for you!!!
History books talk about H.I.S.T.O.R.Y my FRIEND not about Contemporary India.
I mean I am irritated by the are there “cows in yours streets always?” question because thats the only thing I am asked when people meet me. You would have met loads of Indians there who are, I can assure you, in no way iNDIAN , who would approve this movie and feel elated. But as a true Indian- this is crap!
Listen, your “could have” probability theory does not work! Proof and facts should make a movie. Let me make one thing clear, I am not here to fight and prove that you are wrong. But rather a simple citizen who asks for truth in the movie about her country.
I dont mean to say that there are no cows in the streets or people dont steal electricities( that which happens in every country) but only that people should move their vision deep into the other realities of India. History books and geography books?
History books, geography, educational books of all kinds. Indians could have written a lot of them. And people all over the world, travel all over the world, and write about it. I don’t understand why it is a bad thing to ask about the number of cows in India. As an American, I can tell you right now. That when we think of India steriotypically, the first thing that comes to mind is NOT the amount of cows there are.
where does it exist, In western movies>>
and yeah man, things are always close eh? for them we are always a thrid world( I guess you are an Indian) so stop rattling my cage for their sake…
and yeah, we are not just about cows or snakes or that stupid music, but more about growth and progress.
I saw true India in Swades yaar, and a true Indian there.
Indian is a constantly changing entity and I guess they read some ancient book and something about call centres and there movie made!!
that means the first thing they ask about India is ” are there lots of cows in India” not is Amrtya Sen from India, or is Rabindranath Tagore from iNDIA OR WHERE IN India…
I dod not mean to say that India has no traditional music but that it is not our only music
in what bookS? Books written by Indians who came back to India to find their roots and wrote whatever they perceived with an western eye or by some foreighner who wanted a taste of poor India?
