Hundred of Cambrians received calls early Friday urging them to head for high ground as a tsunami spawned by a magnitude 9 earthquake earlier in the day sped across the Pacific. Many heeded the calls, while others headed towards the coast to watch for a series of surges expected to be as high as 3 to 6 feet, starting between 8 and 8:30 a.m. Friday, March 11.

Medical Alert Bracelet that calls caregivers living >5 miles away.?
I have a friend with Parkinson’s who often falls. He doesn’t want one of those medical alert things that call 911 or a service center, just something that will alert my household when he needs help. Cellphones are often difficult for him to operate, or even get out of his pocket. Does anyone have any suggestions? I’m looking for a bracelet or pendant style device.
I have already tried Google. Seriously. I’m looking for answers from people experienced with this sort of thing.
