I’m searching for host families in Michigan, can anyone help me?
Hello, my name is Rebecca Bembas. The reason im writing this post is because I’m searching for families who might be interested in hosting a foreign exchange student. I am a Michigan Area Representative for a company called Center for Cultural Interexchange.
CCI is a non-profit organization that enables qualified High School exchange students, between the ages of 15-18, the opportunity to live with an American
Host Family while attending a local high school for 5 or 10 months. The Students come with their own spending money for every month and health insurance. Host
Families are expected to provide room (the student can share a room, but needs own bed) and board, and families also receive a tax credit for participating.

applications, pamphlets, student bio sheets, etc.

First of all, you should have done more research. As an area representative I am paid a very small stipend, which I MUST use towards the students orientations. Secondly, one of my jobs is to keep in contact with the students throughout their stay and solve any problems that may arise. Also thorough background checks are done on every host family. Furthurmore, the host families are not responsible for giving the students spending money. They provide room and board and recieve a tax credit. where you could easily have found everything that i just wrote. maybe if you werent such a miserable person you would spend all day cutting other people down.
