My computer has been a little slow lately. It takes longer to boot-up, shut-down or log-off. Programs open a little slower, and Firefox keeps on getting hung up on pages. I just did a defragment and Disk Cleanup, now I’m uninstalling programs. (There are 97!!!) I don’t know which of these I can safely remove:
Google Apps
Google Update Helper (What is this used for?)
Google Updater
Google Talk Plugin (This is for using video chat in Gmail, correct?)

Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable
Microsoft Search Enhancement Pack
Junk Mail filter update
Microsoft Application Error Reporting
Microsoft Choice Guard
Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Compact Edition [ENU]
Microsoft Sync Framework Runtime Native v1.0 (x86)
Microsoft Sync Framwork Servies Native v1.0(x86)
MSVCRT
Windows Live Call, Communications Platform, Essentials, Family Safety, etc.
Microsoft Visual C 2005 ATL Update kb973923 – x86 8.0.50727.4053
Microsoft Visual C 2008 ATL Update kb973924 – x86 9.0.30729.4184
Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable – x86 9.0.21022
Windows Live Sign-in Assistant
HERE is a complete list of crap installed by Microsoft:

I need help with my computer bad!!!?

Okay when I try to get on my computer this thing pops up saying dell support center update file cannot be found, so nothing is working. I have to run my computer in safemode with networking, it’s the only way I can get on. When I get on normal windows startup it completely freezes and you can’t do anything. Also my avg won’t work, nothing updates, it’s just a simple mess…….PLEASE HELP ME SOMEONE!!!!! I did go to dell support page and tried to find the software manually but I don’t know what it would be, if you call dell you can’t understand any of the workers and they charge you $100 just to hlep you with probably a simple issue. Thanks everyone!!!!
I did try to run my system restore and that won’t run either, I think I’ve just about tried everything and I can usually fix whatever is wrong but this time I just don’t know.

What should i do? Please, Please Help!?

I owned an LG glimmer and the screen broke… I sent it out for repair on warranty, and was told it would be a 4 week wait. I waited 4 weeks and checked in with my provider (U.S. cellular) what is the deal with my phone. They told me LG repair center is out of parts for my phone and it will be another 4 week wait… I said okay, however i continued to call several times a week and ask for someone to update me on the status of my phone, or find somebody in u.s. cellular higher ranking than them, who could… each time i was told that it’s not possible to see what’s up with my phone and that i would have to wait it out… after 8 weeks went by, my phone was still not back and when i called 2 months and 4 days since june first, i was told the same thing “they r out of parts, nothing we can do” i went to a different U.S. cellular location, and an associate was able to give me the answers almost immediately, after he made a few calls he told me that my phone was repair back in June and that it was sent out to the wrong location, somewhere in Washington D.C. ( I’m from Wisconsin!!! wtf???) and that the tracking number on the phone is invalid, so it is basically lost. I was outraged that the other U.S. cellular place pretty much refused to help me for 2 months and a regular associate did it in minutes at another location. So after lots of arguing and fighting with the U.S. Cellular and LG, both companies are still pointing fingers at each other, and after over a 2 month wait, the only offer i’m given is a “refurbished phone”. I don’t think that is fair, specially since that phone will die in a month. I was so tired and exhausted that i agreed to a refurbished phone, which showed major software issues as they were hooking it up… so now i’m back to being stuck with a loaner phone and the only offer i’m given is still yet another refurbished phone (which might die soon as i walk out of the store)… I believe i’m entitled to a compensation from both companies for the RIDICULOUS wait, for the stress they’ve caused me, and for the lack of knowledge/cooperation by their employees. can someone please tell me what i could do to work out a deal with them? PLEASE point me in the right direction.
I’m demanding a new phone, so I think the reasonable solution would be me paying a $40 deductible for insurance for a lost phone, LG covering the $100 difference between my lost phone and the only other LG touchescreen (LG Triton) they have available at U.S. cellular and U.S. cellular giving me free internet ( that phone can only be hooked up with internet otherwise i wouldn’t even want internet) and keeping the cost of my contract the same….. doesn’t that sound like a reasonable solution? LG spends $100 to cover the difference, insurance pays over 300 for the rest of the phone, and U.S. cellular simply makes up for the bullcrap treatment that i got…..

Manager has suspended me for her mistakes; owner of business won’t return my phone calls…. HELP!!!?

I started a job at a chiropractic center in January, the 14th, to be exact. I “trained” for 2 days before I began closing on my own. I made a few mistakes, but quickly corrected them and continued learning the their way of doing things.

Within a week, my manager began asking me about appointments that were booked wrong- and basically telling me that I ruined her morning/or afternoon because clients were upset that their appointments were either at the wrong time or not on the schedule at all! I thought it sounded funny, because I’m very experienced with the software they work on- I’ve worked with it before at a previous job. I began keeping track of all the appointments I made and making sure everything was perfect.

This week I was accused of shorting the drawer 2 days in a row; come to find out she miscounted a roll of dimes as “40″ rather than 50 on 1 day (yes, a huge deal was made about it) The second day she missed several rolls of coins and I had to point it out to her that day as well! This past weekend 3 people were booked for 1 appointment; when I asked who they spoke with- they all replied with her name. She blames me even as I type this, saying I should have made sure that everything was in the system correctly.

She asked if she could put me on probation yesterday, and told me not to clock in and took my key. I told her “No, because the mistakes happening around here aren’t from me. ” I was told that “probation period” is admitting fault. Is it?

She told me that this is a “work at will” state, and that she owes no explanation for letting me go. She has several clients who have written horrible reviews about the business online and her name comes up in quite a few of them! 2 of the reviews should have proved to her that she messed up the booking or what-not. Even then, she tried to connect it back to me.

This business is a franchise; I was told to call “Franchise Corporate”… I have to find out about it.

What would you do???

HELP!

***I know I have options; I’d just like to know the opinions of you kind people out there.***
I have called the owner several times and left a voicemail. She said she was on her way today w/the checks only for her husband to show up. At this point I’m at home and not being paid.
Thanks for the answers so far…. not looking too good, but I do appreciate the response.

Virus Protection Help?

I recently came under attack by a computer virus, that fragged my hard drive, disabled all my anti virus software, installed fake anti virus software titled AV Security Suites, and took over windows help center.
I have a 2006 vista, and had to call someone to come fix it, which they did and removed all the problems with the computer.

My main question is that Ive been using the free version of AVG 9.0 for protection and it has worked until this thing came and well did its job.
If i upgraded to the complete version of AVG would the fire wall, and everything that it includes be able to stop this thing before it hits, if it hits again, or a similar virus attacks?
If not what should i change my anti-virus too?

updating iphone to iOS4 help?

I tried to update my iphone 3gs to the new software a while back and it completely crashed my iTunes, and put the phone in recovery mode. So I went to a store in my town centre called KCRS that sells apple products and he wiped everything off my phone but managed to reboot it for free. Now if i go back could KCRS update my iPhone to the new iOS4 software or do i have to do it at home? I just dont want to risk putting it back into recovery mode again. Any help would be great thankyou :)
