Ele tem um queda por sua colega, Alison Gardner (Frances O’Connor), mas falta a coragem de por seus sentimentos para fora. Após Elliot ser botado para fora de um bar ao tentar falar com Alison, ele faz um desejo conquistar sua Alison. o demônio (Elizabeth Hurley), sob a forma de uma mulher bonita, ouve esse desejo e oferece um contrato a Elliot. Ela dará Elliot sete desejos e, em retorno Elliot dará a sua alma. Como seria de esperar de uma barganha com Satanás, existe uma captura para o negócio. Não importa o que Elliot peça, o Diabo distorce o seu desejo de tal forma que ele está sempre insatisfeito com o resultado. Após cada desejo ser rejeitado surge a marcação ’666 em um pager. A cada vez Elliot volta a ter uma reunião com o diabo em que ela acusa-o de não ser suficientemente específico nas suas aspirações e pede-lhe para tentar novamente. Estas reuniões ocorrem em uma variedade de locais, com o Diabo cada vez em um papel diferente, em que ela leva a cabo uma série de atos de maldade quotidianos.

The international media often portrays India through outmoded stereotyped clichés: corruption, slums, child labour, beggars, sacred cows, dope-smoking sadhus or its Super call centres. Boy are they wrong! So how do you portray this rapidly emerging economic powerhouse? Priyam is a 14-year-old girl of Canadian and Indian parentage. Born and raised in India, she is a perfect metaphor for modern India. Educated, aware of her heritage and steeped in her culture. Priyam takes the viewer through her village, Jejuri and explores both its progress and problems. In the microcosm of the village, we see reflected the macrocosm of modern India.
