I already had a phone interview. What should I say in my cover letter to give the employer in person?
I applied for customer service at a call center for a cell phone company. I passed the personality test, which was part of the application. Then I had a phone interview, and now I’m scheduled for an interview in person.
I’m planning to bring along a copy of my resume. What should I say in the cover letter? I already told the manager about my computer skills, how many years of experience in customer service I have, about my overall work history, and how I heard about the position. Should I still put that information in my cover letter?

Is a person entitled to make enough to raise a family using the skillset of the average 4th grader?
in a society where you’re given free education through 12th grade?
Seriously, all these people whining about “my job was outsourced to Mexico or Cambodia” – - – if some uneducated, barefoot, dirty peasant, living in a house made of mud with a thatch roof can do your job as well as you can, is that something you want everyone else to know?
Even the jobs going to India – call center, help desk – - you look at that as a career, something you should be able to support a family doing?
I know not all manufacturing jobs are the same – some of it is somewhat high-skill – - – those are the jobs that are typically kept; it’s mostly the assembly and QC that’s moved offshore.
That’s basically sorting.
On what basis did you decide that you’re entitled to a lifetime job with a salary on which you can raise a family, and benefits and a retirement plan, all for sorting things for 7 hours a day?
How did we get to a point where millions of us expect no more of themselves?

How can I receive a voicemail message from a call center that is talking to another person?
Just picked up my voicemail messages, and realized I was listening to a female employee in a busy call center — lots of conversation in background — and the person she called obviously answered the phone. I could hear her part of the conversation but not his. Would love to know how this could happen. Not a big deal, but it’s still interesting. Thanks for your time. Oh – and this was my land line, not a cell phone, with one of the major carriers.

What virtual call centers are the best for a retired person to work from home for?
My mother is retired and is looking for a job with a virtual call center that will allow her to do customer service and\or order processing from her home. She has excellent typing skills and verbal communications skill. She only speaks english. She has a land line and a high speed internet connection with a brand new Dell Computer, top of the line. SOome of these things look shady and want money up front and do not pay for training and seem poorly managed. Is there a list anywhere that shows which of this comapnies is legitimate? Does any one currently work for one of these things and have an opinion?
