Do people who work at call centers in India really make a substantial living?
I wonder because whenever I need to contact someone for a product or service it seems that they must be in India! I get some language barriers and it drives me crazy and I have trouble understanding some of the people who are taking my calls! (No offense to people in India, it’s an outsourcing problem our nation has developed…)

Is it right to hate my father? I mean he really is a jerk.?
Now, now. Before you judge me, please read the following.
1. My parents divorced when I was about 2 or 3 years old. Why? Because my dad cheated on her with another married woman. He never provided for us any money, although he worked and gave his mistress everything she wanted. They even got an apartment with the best furniture possible, but OUR home, where my mom, sister, grandma and I lived, had nothing. Do note that my sister is not my father’s daughter. She was from my mom’s first marriage, her father died and my mom remarried my dad.
2. My dad often brought me out whenever my sister was in school and mom was working (to find money for the family, for US to SURVIVE, whilst he never did one single thing). Yeah, we were that poor. While he enjoyed his life with that woman, we were suffering like you can’t even imagine. Sometimes we skipped our meals because we couldn’t afford it. My mom sacrificed so much for us. She worked really hard to support me and my sis. All the while, she never knew about the affair.
3. Even at that age, I knew something was wrong. Why is my dad with another woman? That’s not what they write in fairytales, right? I’m not sure what happened after that, but I do remember saying something spiteful to his mistress one day, telling her she’s not supposed to do this to our family…or something along those lines. Yeah, I was a smart kid. Well, the mistress got angry at me and told on me to my dad and guess what he did when he heard her? He slapped me. Right there and then, in that shopping centre. Everyone watched me and I remember crying like mad. And I was a toddler too, mind you. WHO ON EARTH SLAPS A TODDLER??
4. His mistress’ husband finally found out about the affair, and he knew my mother so he told my mother about it and she ran away with me and my sister, and we moved to Batam (my mom is Indonesian) but being the selfish idiot that he is, he fought for our custody. He said he’d sue my mom if she refused to give him custody. My mom’s not rich, and she definitely didn’t want to go to prison. Eventually I moved back with him, but my sister remained in Batam with my mom (I was Singaporean, my sis is Indonesian so that’s how it naturally went). I hated him for separating me from my mom and sis.
5. He fought a lot with my mom over the phone after I moved back to singapore. he’s sooo fond of calling her insulting names it made me mad. And she wasn’t the only victim. Oftentimes he would also call me a ‘stupid’, ‘awkward’ and ‘sad’ kid, when I’m nothing but normal. I always cry when he does that. I grew up insecure, afraid of my image because he’d raise me like that.
6. He ended the affair with the mistress soon after my parent’s divorce, but he never stopped. He went through a series of women after that. Possibly more than 10 of them.
7. Then, my sister was involved in a car accident and they didn’t have enough to pay for her medical bills. My mom’s job gave her only about $300 a month(Batam’s salaries are reallllyyy low) and she was desperate. My father had a great amount of money in his medisave account, but he didn’t lend my mom a penny, not a single piece of help, even when she literally BEGGED him to. My sister was IN PAIN and she was DYING. still, the bstrd didn’t care. He had enough money to save my sister’s life but out of his selfishness he didn’t! Blood was oozing out of my sister’s ears and nose and mouth and he didn’t do anything about it!!!! Her brain was damaged and her whole face was swollen. And the next few days were torture; my sister went into a coma for a few days before giving in. She died, you know. She FREAKING DIED because OF HIM. Up to this day I still can’t forgive him. he took a life. a freaking life. and it’s my sister’s. WHAT KIND OF A HUMAN EVEN HAS THE HEART TO do that???
8. Now, i’m fourteen, and he still hasn’t changed. he rarely comes home and whenever he does, we only exchange a few words. i live independently, and he only gives enough for me to eat. no money to spend for transport, clothes, etc. I have to do that myself. even so, my allowance is about half of my classmates’. but that’s not the main point. he never talks to me, never asked me extensively about my life, never once attempted to be a father figure. occassionally, of course, he’d buy me some cool things for my birthday but that’s it. he also borrows money from me sometimes.
9. He still has a woman now, and I know that because I’ve seen him with her before. I bloody refuse to acknowledge her. And he spends A LOT of money on her, too.
10. He reads my diary. He reads my freaking diary. Where is the privacy I deserve as a teenager???
11. I’m fourteen and I share a room with my grandma. the room is tiny like you can’t even believe. i sleep on the floor and my grandma sleeps on the bed. He doesn’t give a

Article Source: http://www.articlesbase.com/ – Is India Really the Best Call center Outsourcing Location?
Call center outsourcing is truly taking off everywhere in the globe. In India alone, there is an estimated more than 500,000 call center agents working day and night. India of course is always the default country when one thinks of call centers. This has been perpetuated in every movie you have watched in the last couple of years and also in television shows. Just as a person what country comes to his mind when you say the word call center and I would bet you a hundred dollars right now that he will say India. If you for example have watched the show transformers, you will notice that there is one particular scene there that depicts what people think about Indian call center agents’ attitude. When the soldiers in the movie where fighting the evil Decepticon robots, they tried to call the military for more back up using a cell phone which was all that they had. But before they could get patched through to the military, they had to speak with a bored looking Indian call center agent. This agent was just speaking in a monotone voice reciting his spiel from memory while the noticeably and understandably frustrated U.S. soldier who kept insisting that it was an emergency almost lost heart at ever getting patched through because of all the bureaucratic procedures that the call center agent was following unmindful of the soldier’s pleas.
This is just one of those cliché stereotypical depictions. And yes, this does not accurately describe all call agents from India. But surely, stereotypes and clichés did not puff out of thin air. They were created because a lot of people noticed the same thing. So this means that a lot of Indian agents have behaved a certain way and still perhaps behave a certain way (disinterested and bored such as in that scene in transformers). Also, India is very popular as a call or contact center location because it has been where the industry first sprung up and went full blast offshore. It has been so well established in everyone’s mind that the association is just unbreakable. So many comedians use this as the stuff of stereotype racist jokes. And when such a thing happens, when something has become a running joke on every late night talk show, then you know that that is the same experience for a lot of people.
So does this mean that India is really not the best center call outsourcing location offshore? Not necessarily. There is still something that India provides that cannot be matched except perhaps if the Chinese suddenly started to lean towards English as a second language. India’s massive population and third world status makes the labor costs so low. There are quality India contact center companies of course, but basically every company that wants massive quantity instead of a focus on quality, then India is a sure bet. Perhaps some who have realized the potential of other locations such as the Philippines would also like to add quality to quantity, but a lot more companies are just interested in quantity.

Best Lawn Care Equipment For Really Easy Lawn Care
If you want the best looking lawn, or even just one that is good enough to look out on as you enjoy a beautiful day, you will need to put some effort in. To minimize that, mechanization could be your answer!
There are some great time-saving tools around these days, that will take the chore out of your lawn as well as getting you sitting out on it enjoying it just as soon as possible! Even if you spend laborious hours on it, it’s still possible that it won’t end up perfect, but it will look way better.
Many people begrudge the effort and time it takes. Maybe it’s these very same people who also feel aggrieved that lawn care equipment can be a bit heavy on the pocket. Like all things in life, it can be hard to get a balance between what is a reasonable expenditure and whether it is worth it in the first place – ‘What’s in it for me?’, in this investment I make!
By buying reasonable lawn care equipment, you will have every opportunity to have a beautiful lawn, if that’s what you are seeking.
So, here are some of the most important implements that will help you get the lawn you really want.
Your Lawnmower – The Most Valuable Time-Saving Power-Tool
To spend your rest time cutting a lawn laboriously, is pretty much agreed by gardeners across all spectrums as a bit of a waste of time and effort. There must be better things to do than cut a lawn without proper lawn care equipment. Only the greatest purists who nurture and worship their lawn will resist buying a pretty good lawnmower as their most vital bit of lawn care equipment
There are two ways to do this, the hard way and the easy way. The hard way is a bog-standard mower that you push along without any motorization at all, but if you want to properly care for your lawn, you’ll need a decent mower that you can use without too much effort.
Of all the lawn care equipment that’s out there, the mower is the one that you’ll get most use of and, if you choose correctly, it will be the one that makes the most impact on your lawn and saves you the most time.
If you are in doubt about which type of mower you might buy, just take a look at the lawn and areas involved. For a large, very flat lawn, you will need a powered mower, probably a sit-on one. For a small lawn, get yourself one that will cut just right for that lawn. Unless it’s to massage your ego, you don’t need a sit-on mower for a lawn the size of a postage stamp!
With lawn mowers, there are plenty of different types to be found. For a reasonable choice that isn’t too expensive, go for a pushmower, without the push. That is the self-propelled mower that is power-assisted – just helping you out when you need it and giving you the flexibility of complete control..
Edge Trimmers – Go On Then, Finish The Job
When you’ve done your mowing, the job isn’t complete until you’ve gone round the edge too. In fact a well mown lawn will still look scruffy if your edges don’t get done.
A good trimmer will be one item of lawn care equipment that will ‘ice the cake’ and if used wisely, will enhance even the best mown garden, creating a look of quality that is hard to surpass.
This is one piece of garden equipment where mechanization can be harder to handle that doing it by hand, but with a twist. A good edge trimmer will be used manually, but will not only be very effective, it will also save you time and your back!
Yes, you can get those electrical or petrol/gas powered ‘strimmer’ type edge trimmers when you’re out buying your lawn care equipment, but for me, there is no better piece of kit than the odd looking shear type that you use with a sideways shuffle along your border. The trouble with strimmers is that they run so fast that it can be hard to control them.
Go for a good manual!
‘Like a Gentle Rain From Heaven’
Last up in the key lawn care equipment that you will need to consider seriously when you are aiming for a great looking lawn, is a way to get it wet!
Having an effective sprinkler system in place will make a huge difference when you are looking at hot, thirsty summers. Could you imagine watering your whole lawn with a watering can?
No, I thought not.
Sprinklers come in a number of different arrangements. Some, which might be best of you want as little involvement as possible, will be built into your lawn and come on with a timer system, popping-up without warning – so watch out!
For a small lawn, at the other end of the spectrum, are simple movable sprinklers that you attach your hose to and move around. Takes your time and effort, but for a small lawn that might be a completely acceptable solution.
Whatever you decide on, make sure that before you buy, you understand what it is you want and then double-check that it will meet your expectations. Coverage, water volume, cost and time-saving are all worth covering before your trip to the garden center.
If you get yourself these three pieces of lawn care equipment to deal with these key lawn maintenance issues, you will really have sorted out most of the problems you might find.
Use these as well as you can and, before you know it, you will be sitting out there, cool drink in hand, admiring a beautiful lawn, produced, by you, with minimal effort!
