Health & Safety Support Nottinghamshire – 01623 514257

Health & Safety Support Nottinghamshire Watson & Watson Health and Safety Consultants 5 Church Avenue Sutton-in-Ashfield Nottinghamshire NG17 2EB T: 01623 514257 www.watsonandwatsonsafety.co.uk Local based Health and safety support for Nottinghamshire businesses. Many companies in the Nottinghamshire area find paying for Health and safety support difficult, due to financial constraints, and cannot justify employing someone in a full time or even part time capacity to provide local Health and safety support, and this is where external consultants can come into their own. External consultants come in many guises, from one man band type operations, through to multi national providers. A question often asked by the SME is how do I know what I want, if I don’t understand the subject in the first place? It is also frequently asked how does the SME know he is getting value for money for the local Health and safety support he is getting. The answers are simple ones. Get several different Health and safety support companies in to give you a written proposal as to how they can help you. This process will help you understand which of them you warm to and thus can work with. It is important that the Health and safety support you choose is local to you and that they can give a hands on service. Sub continent call centres are no good in a crisis, when the Health and safety support you need is in Nottinghamshire! In terms of cost, day rates can range from £200 to £2000, cheap does not

I have tech support experience, where can I go from here?

I did internet tech support for 2 years, and I was pretty damn good at it. then i got laid off. I don’t want to work in call centers forever so what kind of jobs would be good to look into. Am i screwed since my type of job is being sent to india? I have a college degree and I didn’t just do tech support, I moved up to coaching ( training others on how to do tech support, QA, some technical writing like creating training packets for specific kinds of troubleshooting (ISDN, dial-up, common windows mac/software) are their specific locations I should look into? im not into programming. all these jobs i see for like networking, analysts, etc want experience that I don’t have. apparently you need experience in order to gain experience. At this point I am thinking about just working a gas station or walmart since the pay is the same as tech support.

I gave harsh feedback regarding tech support was I wrong?

I prefer not to mention the company but I had some trouble connecting my netbook to my TV and trying to set a custom resolution, what ticked me off though was that it took 30 minutes to explain the problemn and when I got done I got interrogated as to why I would not buy the $40 optimization software for my notbook, I explained to the guy that I was broke and that I could not afford it untill pay day and to send me a link so that way I could buy it later if I wanted to. When I got to the manager I told them about the experience and I think I may have went overboard when I stated that the customer service was poor and that “I am not a fan of outsourced call centers” when the manager himself was probably worked at the same place. He said that he was “ashamed”, and when he said that I thought I may have been a little bit to raw and too blunt and bit his head off in the process and later felt bad for the guy. Was I wrong for being brutally honest and speaking my mind?
