Legal way to prevent “church” from making young mother work with her baby around? (only a few weeks old)?

Hi everyone. I have a legal question, since I am German and don’t know American laws.
There is a religious group called “Dove World Outreach Center” in Gainesville, FL, which is lead by the pastors that were in my German church before. Two young couples in this church have recently had babies, which are now only a few weeks/months old – definitely under 1 year. The leadership of the church now requires both moms to work physically in the church (working in the 2nd-hand-furniture area, cooking, cleaning etc) while having the babies around.
Is this permitted? They don’t have a work contract, and don’t get paid – everything is voluntary. However, in Germany this church crumbled due to manipulation and mental abuse of members. It is definitely a stress-ful environment.
Also, I don’t want the babies to be taken away from their parents!!! More like forcing the church to leave them alone – at least for some time to recover after giving birth.
